Problem Statement

Creating and maintaining XDM configurations can require detailed knowledge of existing objects, scripts, and configuration structures. Users may spend significant effort searching for reusable assets, understanding existing logic, or writing correct scripts. This can slow down configuration work and increase the risk of redundant or inconsistent changes.

Customer Value

Customers can create and maintain XDM configurations more quickly and with less manual research. Less experienced users receive guidance when navigating existing XDM objects and scripts. Existing configurations can be reused more effectively, reducing duplication and improving consistency. Reviewable AI-generated suggestions also support better traceability and quality of configuration changes.

Scope

This epic covers AI-assisted support for working with XDM configurations, objects, and scripts, including:

  • Finding and explaining existing XDM objects such as tasks, workflows, data shops, modifications, models, connectors, reports, scripts, and hooks.

  • Creating or adapting XDM configuration proposals from natural language input. Suggesting reusable existing objects where applicable.

  • Producing reviewable configuration proposals, such as YAML-based configuration changes. Asking follow-up questions when required information is missing.

  • Supporting script creation and improvement for XDM use cases, including JavaScript and Groovy scripts.

  • Assisting with modification use cases, such as selecting existing modification methods, creating new scripts, and explaining existing modification logic.

  • Helping analyze errors, logs, configuration issues, and code problems by suggesting possible causes and resolution steps.

  • Ensuring generated or changed configurations are presented for user review before adoption.
