Problem Statement

Test data is often stored outside relational databases, for example in remote file systems, MongoDB, or other file-based storage platforms. Customers need a consistent way to copy and prepare structured files such as JSON, XML, YAML, and CSV for testing while protecting sensitive information.

Customer Value

Customers can provision test data from a broader range of data sources without relying solely on relational databases. Selective copying and optional masking help reduce unnecessary data transfers and support privacy-conscious test-data preparation.

Scope
  • Configure supported non-relational and file-based systems as connections in XDM.

  • Define where structured data is located and which file format is used.

  • Use these connections as sources and targets in Entity Copy Tasks.

  • Copy structured data between supported systems for test-data provisioning.

  • Apply filters to copy only selected files or records.

  • Optionally modify or mask individual data attributes during copying using existing XDM modification methods.

  • Support structured file formats including JSON, XML, YAML, and CSV.
